Obituary for Frank Joseph Melton
Frank Joseph Melton, 66, of Reisterstown, MD died on June 30th, 2014 in Seasons Hospice in Randallstown, MD. He was born on August 23, 1947 in Baltimore, MD to Clarence Leo and Elizabeth Melton. He was married to Hazel Melton (nee Carr).
Frank served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, and later in the United States Marine Corps Reserves as well as the United States Navy. During his military career Frank was a Marine sniper, a drill sergeant and in the Navy Sea Bees. Frank was the recipient of a Silver Star, 3 Purple Hearts, and a Cross of Gallantry.
He is survived by his brother Thomas Melton and wife Nancy of Glen Burnie, MD; sister Deborah Baker and husband Michael of Pasadena, MD; brother Kenneth Melton and wife Sharon of Ferndale, MD. Also survived by nieces and nephews: Shelby Jones, Tracey Moore, Ryan Moore, Christopher W. Melton, Justin W. Melton, Brian Baker and great niece: Dayton Melton.
Service will be held at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Monday at 10:30am. The family will receive friends from 3pm to 5pm and from 7pm to 9pm Sunday. Interment will be at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.ElineFuneralHome.com
