Obituary for Daisy Elizabeth Gue (Lotz)

On October 18, 2014, Daisy E. Gue (nee. Lotz) of Cockeysville. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold LeRoy Gue, who died in 1980 after 40 years of marriage. She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gue who was 95, retired in 1971 after 35 years of service as a secretary at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy. Her career in state government began at the Springfield State Hospital, Sykesville.
Active in the Woodlawn Chapter No. 101, Order of the Eastern Star, she served as Worthy Matron in 1958 and again in 1985, the year the chapter celebrated its 50th anniversary. She also served as a State Grand Officer in 1959-60 and nearly every year since and was a member of the Grand Chapter Committee. She was also a Plural Member of Trinity Chapter #99, O.E.S. She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Woodlawn.
Family will receive friends at the Maryland Masonic Homes, 300 International Circle in Cockeysville on Thursday from 10 to 11am, at which time a memorial service and Eastern Star service will be held. Memorials in her name to Star Community Hall, 7405 Windsor Mill Road, Baltimore, MD 21244 will be appreciated. Arrangements by Eline Funeral Home, Reisterstown.
