Obituary for Dr. Frederick Martin Goethe, ED.D.

Dr. Frederick Martin Goethe, ED.D., 77 of Reisterstown passed away on January 12, 2015 at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He was born on March 15, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Herman and Louise Mary Goethe. He was married to Charlotte Elizabeth Goethe.
He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and of the George Washington University. Dr. Goethe taught for thirty years in the public schools of Maryland and was active in community associations, especially Soldiers Delight Conservation. He had carried on a voluminous correspondence in both German and English. He sang for many years in the Methodist choirs and most recently at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Elizabeth Goethe; daughter Anne Goethe Cannon of Fredericksburg, VA; son Jonathon and his wife Cheryl Goethe of Maui, HI; grandson Andrew M. Goethe.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, 11am at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Owings Mills. Interment private.
