Obituary for Edwin Austin Sinnott

Edwin Austin  Sinnott
Edwin Austin Sinnott, 85, of Reisterstown, passed away at his home. He was born on August 10, 1929 in Baltimore, MD to the late John and Elizabeth Toulan Sinnott. He was married to the late Matilda Catherine Sinnott.

Austin was a building superintendent for 17 years with the Archdiocese Catholic Center, retiring on September 1, 1994. Before that he was a plumber and laid the original piping in many of the houses in Roland Park.He worked with Mills & Sons, Inc. and C&H Mechanical Corporation. He was a devout Catholic with a strong love for the Blessed Mother. He loved to travel and once visited Lourdes, France and Fatima in 1962 while on Pilmgrimmage with the late Father Ryan. He was a Pro Life Advocate. He loved his family and he enjoyed chocolate, crabs and beer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany, Company A #103rd Engineers.

He is survived by son Joseph and his wife Kathy Sinnott of Glenrock, PA; daughters Mary and her husband Patrick Bergin of Baltimore, Annie and her husband Tom Eckert of Reisterstown, Regina and her husband Lincoln Gee of Owings Mills; sons James Sinnott of Baltimore, Robert Sinnott of Baltimore and the late James Austin; grandchildren Jamie Bergin, Regina and her husband Josh Emmer, Megan Bergin, Joey Sinnott, Adam and his wife Lauren Hamdy, Suzie Hamdy and Corey Bergin. Brother of Edward Sinnott, Billy Sinnott, Gerard Sinnott, Marie Black and Frances Stout and the late Danny Sinnott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son James Austin Sinnott.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Friday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville on Saturday 10am. Interment in St. Charles Church Cemetery.
