Condolences

Condolence From: Howard Lewitt
Condolence: Bill was a gentle and kind soul, a hardworking and dedicated co-worker, totally invested in his vocation and always a pleasure to work with. You, his family will now face the challenge of being without him, but the beauty of his life will be a legacy that endures through his work at SSA, his written works, his relationships, his children and his family. G0d bless all of you and G0d bless Bill.

Condolence From: Laura Winebarger
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working closely with Bill over the past year and I have never met anyone as excited and passionate about their work as him. Bill was such a happy and kind man and myself, and the rest of the team at ForeSee (ACSI), considered him not only a great team member, but also a friend. While Bill will be greatly missed, his spirit will remain an inspiration as we continue our work with SSA. We express our deepest sympathies to Bill's family and friends during your time of loss.

Condolence From: Kim Baldwin Sparks
Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with Bill for four years. I've never met anyone so passionate and excited about his work. Bill was so smart and knew everything about his workload. He was also a great guy to work with - unassuming and dependendable. There is no replacement for Bill and we will miss him terribly. My deepest condolences to Bill's wife and children.

Condolence From: Wayne Whitten
Condolence: I didn't know Bill well, but knew him enough from meetings and projects at work to know he was a very nice man, and someone who's company you could enjoy in any environment. At work he was very helpful explaining what he did and how it impacted others so that we could help him in return. It's truly a loss to SSA, but more-so to his family and outside friends. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God be with you.

Condolence From: Suellyn Barras Allen
Condolence: My sincerest condolences to you Natalya and to Bill's children and grandchildren. What a wonderful, kind and special man Bill was. I was grateful that he called me his friend, and that he included me in his literary journey when writing The Last Days of Last Island. In his inscription in my copy of the book, he said he was overjoyed to write about my people in south Louisiana. Even though Bill was born in Port Arthur, he was every bit a Cajun through and through. What could be wrong with a man that loved boudin as much as Bill! I am so very sorry for you loss, and I will miss my friend dearly.
