Donald Wesley  Haines
Donald Wesley Haines, 79, of Hampstead, passed away Thursday August 20, 2015 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.

Born March 28, 1936 in Baltimore County, he was the son of the late Howard Wesley and Anna Belle Shaffer Haines. He was the husband of Patricia A. Rhoten Haines, his wife of 22 years.

Prior to retirement, he had been a blacksmith and horse trainer with Pimlico Racetrack. He also worked for Black & Decker and Wal-Mart in Hampstead. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and playing slots.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Barbara Jean Sharp of Pensacola, FL and Darlene Basta of Manchester; sons, Gary Haines of Westminster, Donnie Haines of Westminster, Waco Haines of Westminster, Sean Haines of North Carolina and Joseph Haines of Manchester; stepson, Michael Frock of Manchester; brother, William Martin Haines of Reisterstown; sisters, Joan Haines of Hendersonville, NC and Mary Ellen Horenstein of Kent Island.

He was predeceased by a son, Saco Haines, and brothers Walter, Joseph and Lawrence Haines.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Art Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Parkton.
