John Robert  Sedlander
John R. Sedlander, 93, of Westminster, MD passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Bright View Westminster Ridge. Born February 27, 1922 in Cromwell, MN he was the son of the late John and Selma (Stoner) Sedlander. He was the husband of the late Margaret Louise Sedlander, his wife of 61 years who died in 2012.

He had been in the Merchant Marines during WWII and sailed with Zenith Dredge. Prior to his retirement, he had been a safety engineer for Travelers Insurance.

Surviving is a daughter, Jeanne Marie Isley and husband Dan of Manassas, VA; son, Jeffrey Brian Sedlander and wife Debra of Hampstead, MD; sister, Evelyn Turnock of Lawler, MN and brother, Charles Sedlander of Cromwell, MN; grandchildren Stacy Wessells, Jenny Zimmerman, Patrick Sedlander and Erik Sedlander and great grandchildren Cora Lynn Wessells and Bobby Zimmerman.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Julie Lynn Mulhern and a son, John "Jack" William Sedlander.

Memorial services will be held at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
