Betsy Arlene  Olson (Sisler)
Betsy Arlene Olson (nee Sisler) 83, of Reisterstown, passed away on November 16, 2015 at Morning Breeze Assisted Living in Finksburg. Born of January 10, 1932 in Friendsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ida Sisler. She was the wife of the late Richard Olson.

She was a graduate of Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing and had a Bachelor’s Degree from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Emmittsburg, MD. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from The Rosewood Center. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society. She and her husband enjoyed socializing and playing bridge at the Reisterstown and Westminster Senior Centers. She also was a past volunteer at the Carroll Hospital Gift Shop. Her hobbies included sewing quilts and gardening. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and was always on the go.

Mrs. Olson is survived by her children Mary Harvey and her husband Robert of Reisterstown, Anna Welsh and her husband Charles of Glyndon, Richard Olson of Janesville, WI and Peter Olson and his wife Shelly of Finksburg; grandchildren Daniel Olson, Kelly Olson, Jonathan Welsh, Elizabeth Welsh, Matthew Olson; great-grandchildren Lily Olson, Jaden Olson, Sloan Miller; sisters Elsie Slagle and her husband Bill of Bruceton Mills, WV, Alice Friend of Clarksville, MD, Rosalie Lewis and her husband John of Centerville, MD, Peggy Tipton and her husband Sammy of Hagerstown, MD and brothers Dr. Edward Sisler of Raleigh, NC and Ben Sisler and his wife Jeanne of Littleton, CO. She is predeceased by siblings Stanley Sisler, Dennis Sisler, Dr. Hugh Sisler, Cecil Sisler, Linda Zarnoch and Lenore Hunt. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road (at Franklin Blvd.) on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 11am to 1pm. A Memorial Service will be held 12:30pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in her name to the Humane Society of Baltimore County 1601 Nicodemus Rd, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
