On the evening of February 4, 2016, Theresa Joyce Forney (nee Cowden) passed away peacefully. Mrs. Forney was born January 23, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to George Robert and Mary E. Cowden (nee Mixter). She attended St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, Franklin Jr. and Sr. High Schools, and Western High School. She later graduated from Catonsville Community College and Notre Dame College, obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Accounting. She was a long-standing member of Northwest Baptist Church in Reisterstown. She was very active in Scouts and camping with her sons. Her interests included family, church, and traveling, especially visiting the beach.

Mrs. Forney is survived by son David Myers and wife Gina, son John Myers, Jr. and wife Colleen, stepson Michael Forney; grandchildren Laura Taylor, David Cook, Nikki Keeney, Jessica Roderick, Ryan Myers, Jayden Myers; and great-grandchildren Sophia, Auria, Cameron, and Tierney; sisters Connie Smith, Joan Wilson, Patricia Walcutt, Sharon Carr, and Sandra Mansfield; and brother-in-law Glenn Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased in death by her parents, and husband Carroll Edward Forney, brothers Robert Lee and Michael Leroy Cowden, and former husband John Robert Myers, Sr.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016, from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00am at Eline Funeral Home-Finksburg, 2901 Bloom Road & Route 91, Finksburg, Maryland 21048 (410-833-4100). In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to autismspeaks.org of Baltimore County.
