Obituary for Heath O'Brian Basil
Heath O'Brian Basil,48, of Pasadena, MD passed away on February 8, 2016. Born in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Elmer and Wanda (Earp) Basil and the husband of Denise K. Basil.
Heath was a graduate of Southern High School in Baltimore, MD and a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid Redskins Fan. Enjoyed watching softball games, camping in the great outdoors, and spending sunny days on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. His family remembers him as being laid back and loved by all.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by four daughters: Aymbur Connor and her fiancée, Jimmy Sox, Destiny Basil, Kristina Sterling, Kresta Basil; brother, James C. Basil and his wife Cathy Basil; step-daughter, Jennifer Barnes and her husband Ira Barnes, III; two grandsons, Ira Barnes IV, Jackson Barnes; two granddaughters: Mia Sandoval, Lauren Sox; life-long-friend, Ken Herb; mother-in-law, LuAnn Connor; niece, Sunny N. Long; and aunt, Donna Moffett.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2016, 3:00 pm – 5:00 & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home in Finksburg, MD. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Eline Funeral Home in Finksburg, MD with Rev. Melissa Rudolph officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins.
