Obituary for Robert Herman Treuchel

Robert Herman  Treuchel
Robert Herman Treuchel, 86, of Westminster, passed away on May 15, 2016. Born January 27, 1930 in Baltimore, MD, he was the husband of Lois (nee: Koenig) Treuchel and the son of the late Edna (nee: Gerken) and Herman John Treuchel.
Bob served his country honorably in the US Army, as a member of the Counter Intelligence Corps.
He was a proud graduate of Baltimore City College, class of 1947 and the University of Maryland College Park, class of 1951.
Bob had a long and successful career, working 16 years with the Marriott Corporation and 16 years with LifeTouch, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Administration, Corporate Secretary and member of the Board of Directors.
Bob loved music, especially opera, and sang in some productions of the Nevada Opera. Company. He enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his endearing Siberian Huskies. Bob was an accomplished church organist, having played the organ most of his life. He was recently honored for his 60+ years of membership in the Masonic Lodge. In his later years he and Lois enjoyed cruising to many exotic locations around the globe.
In addition to his beloved wife of 57 years, he is survived by his son, Robert Paul Treuchel of Fridley, MN; grandson Thomas Levi Treuchel and wife Andreina and great-grandson Levi of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughters Sarah Rose Treuchel of St. Paul, MN and Lisa Vivian Treuchel of Minneapolis, MN; sister- in-law Robin K. Taylor of Westminster, MD; nephew, Jeffrey Taylor of Falls Church, VA; niece, Stacey Smith, her husband Jason and children Mitchell, Alex, and Jillian of Finksburg, MD.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1373 N Main Street. Hampstead, MD, followed by a funeral ceremony at 11:00am, with Pastor Jason Burns officiating. Inurnment will take place at Loudon Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Marks Lutheran Church or Carroll Hospice, Inc.
