James L. Frederick, 89, of Hampstead, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born February 25, 1927 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James and Sadie (Harris) Frederick. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Holtzner) Frederick, his wife of 68 years.

He had worked in elevator installation and was a member of Elevator Union Local 7. Mr. Frederick enjoyed collecting matchbox cars. He also enjoyed antique cars and owned a 35 Studebaker.

Surviving in addition to his wife, is son, Keith Frederick and life long companion Nancy Nicora of Hanover, PA; grandson, Brian Frederick and wife Michelle Marie Frederick of Hunt Valley, MD; great-granddaughter, Korinna Sophia Frederick; and sister, Nancy Utz of Hanover, PA. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 pm with Pastor Jason Burns officiating. Interment will be private.
