Judith Louise  Lundberg (Meader)
Judith Louise Lundberg, 81, of Rockville and Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away on June 11, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at Glenmont United Methodist Church, 12901 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906, on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Judy was born in Michigan City, Indiana on June 5, 1935. She attended Albion College in Albion, Michigan. Her career included raising three children, owning & operating Lundberg Composition, working as a tax preparer, and most notably as an accomplished quilt artist.
Judy was married to David Charles Lundberg in 1955; they were married 60 years.
Judy enjoyed books, playing the piano, art, quilting, her children and her grandchildren. She was also actively involved in VASA Order of America (Drott Lodge), Loose Lilies, Cloth & Chocolate Art Quilters and Nimble Fingers quilt groups.
Judy's involvement with the quilt groups was a lifelong passion, which was demonstrated in the artistry and creativity of her quilts.
Judy is survived by her children Joyce (Rick) Hayden, Victor (Linda) Lundberg, and David (Amy) Lundberg, Jr., her grandchildren, Alex Lundberg, Joshua Lundberg, and Carey (Brendan) Rice, and her great-granddaughter Ella Edwards, by her brother Willard Meader and sister Anne Nelson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, David Charles Lundberg, Sr., her sister Sandy Karman and brother Butch Meader.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Nimble Fingers Quilt Association. The family of Judith Louise Lundberg wishes to thank Potomac ManorCare and Montgomery Hospice for their caring attention.
