Dorothy Belle Reedy, 92, of Hampstead, MD went home to be with her Lord on July 21, 2016 in Manchester, MD. Born February 6, 1924 in Kennett Square, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Mable (Ragan) Benedict and the wife of Jack Reedy who passed away on July 21, 2006.

She was a member of Grace Bible Church. Dorothy had a passion for photography, loved wild birds and flowers, and enjoyed curling up with a good old fashioned murder mystery novel.

She is predeceased by Jack Reedy, her beloved husband of 61 years; son, Jack E. Reedy, and two sisters: Kathryn Lay, and Jean Rapposelli.

Dorothy is survived by: daughter, Pamela Joan Canapp of Hampstead, MD; son, Jeffrey W. Reedy and wife Cindy of Lancaster, PA, daughter-in-law, Laurie Weaver of Hanover, PA; two granddaughters: Melissa Miller and husband Todd, Elizabeth Reedy; three grandsons: Joshua Canapp and wife Katherine Rose, Alex Reedy and wife Joanna, Eric Reedy and wife Samantha; four great-grandsons: Aiden Canapp, Hunter Canapp, Jack Reedy, Jeremiah Reedy; two great-granddaughters: Lily Reedy, and Eliza Reedy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Grace Bible Church, 3250 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, with Pastor Paul Wenzel officiating. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Grace Bible Church Youth Ministry.
