Obituary for John J. Noyes

John J Noyes, 90, of Hampstead, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born March 19, 1926 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Jerome and Catherine (Seidl) Noyes. Married twice, he was predeceased by his first wife, Loretta (Booker) Noyes. He was married to his second wife, Agnes (Billeb) Noyes for 24 1/2 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 - 46 and was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement, he had been a government worker.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Donna Jean Hood and husband Kenneth of Catonsville; sister, Gloria Williams of Elkton; stepsons, Otis "Skip" E. Hopper, Reid E. Hopper; stepdaughter, Leslie Reynolds; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Patricia Ann Scheys and her husband Thomas Scheys.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, MD. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016, 10:30 am at the Eline Funeral Home Hampstead, with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Lung Association, 211 East Lombard Street, #260, Baltimore, MD 21202..
