John Robert Thornton passed away on November 19, 2016. He was the son of John R. Thornton and Janna Rae (nee Scherich) Thornton. He was married to Laurie Thornton.

Father of Jackson Christopher Thornton, Madeleine Claire Thornton; stepfather of Lauren Nicole Schreck; brother of Jerilyn Carr and her husband Paul, Jeanne Allender and her husband Greg and James Thornton and his wife Pam; uncle to 3 nieces and 4 nephews.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road (at Franklin Blvd.) on Wednesday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Thursday 10am at the funeral home. Interment is private.
