Ruth Andrews, 94, of Owings Mills, MD passed away peacefully on February 5, 2017 at the Fair Haven Health Care Center in Sykesville, MD. Born October 15, 1922 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sadie (Baum) Albert and the beloved wife of the late Milton Andrews.

Ruth worked for several companies over the years as a switchboard operator. She was an avid reader, followed politics and was known to be a great conversationalist.
Her family remembers how her cute sense of humor and feisty nature could light up any room. Most importantly, Ruth was extremely proud of her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth is preceded in death by her sister, Leonora Summerfield.

Surviving are her, daughter, Deborah Gilden and husband Paul of Finksburg, MD; son, Wayne Andrews and wife Candice Kudo of Honolulu, HI; grandson, Brad Gilden; granddaughter, Julie Blunck; three great-grandsons: Zachary Gilden, Aiden Blunck, Ryan Blunck; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Gilden; brother, Norman Albert.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, February 10, 2017, from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD.; followed by a celebration of Ruth's life at 12:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
