Obituary for William Anton ""Bill"" Peters

William Anton ""Bill""  Peters
William Anton "Bill" Peters, 73, of Owings Mills, passed away Saturday February 11, 2017 at Future Care - Cherry Wood in Reisterstown, MD.

Born October 5, 1943 in Baltimore, he was a son of the late F. Leroy and Florence Nelson Peters. He was the husband of Mary Jane Durham Peters.

Mr. Peters was a graduate of Utah State University. He served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a farmer in Sparks. He was a member of the Maryland Farm Bureau. He loved going to auctions, particularly Snyder's Auction.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Heather Peters-Lord of Upperco; son, Matthew Peters of Baltimore; granddaughter, Madeline Lord and grandson, Joseph Lord, both of Upperco; brother, Craig Nelson Peters and his wife Patty of Sparks; nephew, Michael Peters of McSherrystown, PA and niece, Robin Lawson of New Oxford, PA; mother-in-law, Anne S. Durham of Upperco. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor James Crocker officiating.
