Thomas Edward O'Brien, Sr., 85, of Millers, MD, passed away peacefully at his home on February 16, 2017. Born February 15, 1932 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Sturgeon) O'Brien and the devoted husband of Mary O'Brien.

Thomas served his country honorably in the United States Army. Tom worked as a master carpenter and built many fine homes, including the one in which his family resided. His family remembers him as being a very kind and gentle man who always put the needs of others before his own. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife, are his son, Thomas E. O'Brien, Jr. of Lewes, DE; daughters, Denise and Debby; three sisters: Patricia Dehn of Glen Burnie, MD, Barbara McAdams of Glen Burnie, MD, Wilma Agee of Glen Burnie, MD; niece, Deborah Swain of Halethorpe, MD.

All services are private by family request. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to either: St. Bartholomew's Roman Catholic Building Fund - 3071 Park Ave, Manchester, MD 21102 or Aisling Retreat House - 4800 Hoffmanville Rd, Manchester, MD 21102.
