Francis Melvin "Bud"  Coppersmith
Francis Melvin “Bud” Coppersmith, 93, of Reisterstown passed away on May 3, 2017. He was born on December 3, 1923 in Manchester, MD to the late Raymond and Myrtle (nee Stern) Coppersmith. He was married to Phyllis Kay Coppersmith for 70 years.


Mr. Coppersmith served in the United States Army during WWII in Rhineland Central Europe Campaign. He had worked in tailoring/alterations for Hamburgers Clothing Store. He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church, the American Legion Post 200, the VFW Westminster Post 467 and the Old Timers Pool Club.


He is survived by his wife Phyllis Kay Coppersmith of Reisterstown; daughter Kay Frances Bullock of Hampstead; daughter Patricia Ann Lewis of Parkville; son Charles Arthur and his wife Deborah Coppersmith of Hampstead; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; siblings James Coppersmith of York, PA, Arthur Coppersmith of Owings Mills, Esther McComas of Hampstead, Kenneth Coppersmith of Hampstead, Perry Coppersmith of Hampstead; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members. Predeceased by siblings Larue Troyer, Raymond Coppersmith, Jr., Lillian Spicer, Madeline Cudney, Donald Coppersmith, Martha Sheetz and Tillie Eckhardt.


Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Friday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Saturday, 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
