Brian Gibbons, 68, passed away at The Dove House in Westminster, MD on Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was born June 18, 1948 to James and Henrietta (Fox) Gibbons in Jamaica, New York.

On February 13, 1982 he married Laurie Lash in Hartford, Connecticut. Brian spent twenty successful years working for the Army and then spent another fifteen plus working for the Maryland High Education Commission.

Brian enjoyed golfing, watching sports including the New York Mets, New York Yankees and college basketball and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Sean Gibbons of Eldersburg, and his daughter-in-law, Jessica Gibbons; two grandsons, James and Jackson; two sisters, Joyce Gibbons of Milford, CT and Maureen Gibbons of Valley Stream, NY; two brothers, James Gibbons of Niagara Falls, NY, and Foster Gibbons of Brooklyn, NY; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie (Lash) Gibbons; parents, James and Henrietta; and mother-in-law, Virginia Lash.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 9 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hampstead Cemetery.
