Obituary for Karl A. "Karl J" Knutsen, Jr.

Karl A. "Karl J"  Knutsen, Jr.
Karl A. Knutsen Jr. ( Karl J ), 35 of Reisterstown, Md. passed away on September 21, 2017, at Northwest Hospital. Karl J was born on February 7, 1982, to Karl A. Knutsen and the late Barbara Burke Knutsen.

In addition to his father he is survived by his close personal friend Melanie Bangs of Pikesville, his brother Mathew of Reisterstown, grandmother Shirley Knutsen of Westminster, his nephew Tyler Knutsen and his uncles and aunts Jeffery and Heather Knutsen of Sykesville, Thomas and Kathy Burke of Buffalo NY, Mike and Elizabeth Waudby of Delaware, and William Gozman of Harford County, Md. He is also survived by many cousins and friends. In addition to his mom, Karl J was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Aksel Knutsen, his maternal grandparents Thomas and Betty Burke, and his aunt Eilene Burke Gozman.

Karl J was an engineering technician responsible for developing computer-assisted drafting documents, performing building inspections, and contributing to the development of structural and forensic engineering reports.He was an essential member and managed the technical and administrative functions of the company.

Karl J played guitar, managed and played in the Howard County Softball leagues, was an avid reader and strived to excel in the application of language arts and assisted with local area chapters of Narcotics Annonomys.

Funeral Services will be held at Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Rd. ( Reisterstown at Franklin Blvd. ) on Friday, September 29, 2017, at 8:00 PM. Friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 PM the day of the service. Interment Private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to local volunteer fire departments, the Humane Society, the American Heart Association, or local Recreation and Parks departments are encouraged.
