Roel "Jean" FitzGerald, 75, of Westminster, MD passed away on November 10, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born September 19, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of Thelma (Davis) Goodwin and the late Donald P. Bailey, Sr. and the beloved wife of Howard "Chuck" FitzGerald.

Jean was an avid reader, enjoyed going to the beach and loved to travel. Jean and Chuck spent 16 years traveling the US in an RV. Jean especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jean is preceded in death by her father, Donald P. Bailey, Sr; step-father, Albert E. Goodwin; grandson, Kyle F. Causey and son-in-law, Steve Causey.

Surviving are her three daughters, Kelly Ann Caples and husband Jeff of Hampstead, MD, Colleen Causey of Pittsville, MD, Kristin L. Ford and husband Jeff of Littlestown, PA; three grandsons, Jacob Caples, Benjamin Caples, Kory Causey; granddaughter, Abigail Ford; two brothers: Donald P. Bailey, Jr, Gordon R. Bailey

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm followed by a celebration of Jean's life at 3:00 pm at the Eline Funeral Home - 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD with Chaplain Nancy Ginsberg officiating.
