William Joseph Kraus (Poppie), 90, of Reisterstown, MD passed away on December 7, 2017. Born April 15, 1927 in Perry Hall, MD, he was the son of the late Henry and Grace (Anderson) Kraus and the devoted husband of the late Betty A. Kraus.
Bill served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War. Before he retired, he worked as a salesman for Tastykake, a house painter, and a greeter at BJ’s. He thoroughly enjoyed the art of conversation, friendship, and sharing life experiences with those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are his daughter, Karen Scherr and husband Tom of Reisterstown, MD; son, Kevin Kraus and wife Sandy of Shrewsbury, PA; seven grandsons: Christopher, Gavin, Zachary, Brian, Garrett, Mark, Brandon; two granddaughters: Nicole, Alexis; great-granddaughter, Jade; three sisters: Ann, Dorie, Suzie; five brothers: Leonard, Vernon, Clarence, Donald and David.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Baltimore Humane Society.
