Dorothy M. Raver, 80, of Hampstead, passed away on December 7, 2017 at Carroll Hospital. Born March 13, 1937 in Phoenix, MD, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Cletus (McCartha) Cummings. She was the beloved wife of Carlos Edgar Raver, her husband of 35 years.

She was a member of Patapsco United Methodist Church, where she had been active with the Methodist women. She enjoyed NESAP shopping and loved her family of 5 generations.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Linda Ann Buxton and husband Jim of SC, Brenda Lou Harrison and husband Michael of VA, Elizabeth Jane Stifler and husband Jeffrey of Baltimore, MD, and Barbara Sue Evans of Keyser, WV; Step Son, Gary Mark Raver of Cooksville, TN; Step Daughter, Renee Jean Fato of Urbana, MD. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers Billy and Jimmy Cummings and a sister, Phyllis Krauss.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at ELINE FUNERAL HOME, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Barbara Allen officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Patapsco United Methodist Church, 2930 Patapsco Road, Finksburg, MD 21048.
