Rosalie M.  Croft (Merryman)
Rosalie Grace Croft, 94, a Hampstead native who has resided at Carroll Lutheran Village for the past 11 years, passed away on Thursday December 21, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore. Born October 13, 1923 in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Leister) Merryman. She was the beloved wife of John Nelson Croft who predeceased her in 1999.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Arcadia, where she taught Sunday School and was one of the founders of Service and Fellowship Group. She was Past Matron and 50 year member of Lebanon Chapter #108, OES and was a 50 year member of Baltimore County Homemakers' Club. She had been a former 4-H leader. Rosalie enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, home decorating and flower arranging, gardening, reading and playing Bingo.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Ann Croft of Westminster; nephew, Robert Martin of Hampstead and great nieces, Chloè Martin of Hampstead and Stephanie Spangler of NC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Upperco, where an Eastern Star service and funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Carl Myers officiating. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

Memorials are suggested to the Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Assistance. A memorial service will be held at Carroll Lutheran Village at a later date.
