Condolences

Condolence From: Jim Peppler
Condolence: I came to know Carl when he himself was but a young man fresh out of Long Beach High School and I about 30 and living across the Street from Juanita and the boys. He became as true a FRIEND as I've ever known. Over about twenty years, he and I would intersect, and I witnessed over and over that he was a role model as a man and a human being. He took in homeless, he created jobs and offered opportunities to many who needed them; all of you who were blessed to have experienced his kind attention over the years will know both the debt you owe to "The Oak;" and I hope feel some obligation to carry on the example that he has showed us all.

Condolence: My condolences to the Oakman family, I was so shocked and saddened by the news of Carls' passing. I knew Carl from work with the County Schools and the Schools Local Union. Although I did not know him very long, he was a delight to be around. He was a fighter for our Union and for all the employees our Union represented. He will be missed by a lot of folks. God Bless him, his family and all whose lives he touched.
