Condolence: Hi Kathleen: Since I won't be at John's mass tomorrow and to share in Johnny's Funeral, I am not sure who, but I suppose you knew John best and will suffer the most from another loss of family and good memories of past. Growing up Tastet, I never knew John senior, my granddad's brother. Mike, my brother, and I were very well acquainted with Uncle Joe and Aunt Catherine and our Great-Grandma "Flossie" but John Senior was a blank in our memories. It wasn't until the 1971 Thanksgiving Family Reunion that connected Mike and I to your branch of Tastets! In the 1960ies, I did know of Johnny as my Dad and John belonged to a (singles?) ski group and heard of the many outings and saw pictures of John and Dad's girlfriends! Then in the early 1980ies, John had the family reunion at his "plantation" there north of Baltimore where many memories were made at his barbecue and pool. John also made it to the 1997 Virginia Beach Family Reunion and I remember sitting with Dad and John at the hotels many lounges and what a good time to be had. John always had that charming smile and congenial sense of humor and laugh. With Bob's witty sense of humor, I am sure of many good laughs in your Tastet Branch! Even Great-Grandma Tastet had that fun sense of humor, entertaining Mike and I with putting a saccharine pill on her tongue! Great-great grandma Dawson, says Wally Tastet, was the life of the party and the soul of the family from which John and Bob must have got that gene! I look forward to that great Tastet_Dawson reunion in heaven where Jesus is our host. Now that John is there...the real party has started. My love to all your family. Sharon Tastet Holdren

Condolence: My deepest sympathy to John's family, and friends who were close to John. I met John through Patricia Brannan, a fellow bridge player with John, herself now deceased, over ten years ago, and I traveled abroad with Pat and John, and other mutual friends, on memorable overseas trips. I was very sorry to hear of his passing. John was a religious man, and very devout, and I am confident that he is now at home with God. May John rest in peace!
