Life Story for William Michael Ment

William Michael  Ment
William Michael Ment passed away at home with family on June 11, 2018. Loving husband of 50 years to wife Kathy (nee Taucher) and beloved father of Jeff Ment (wife Heart) and Laura Gibson. Brother-in-law to John Taucher and predeceased by brother John Ment. Also survived by many loving relatives and faithful friends.

William loved God, family, and country.

An Army veteran, he was born in Michigan on November 10, 1941. William began his career with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration at the Detroit District, retired as Laboratory Director of the Baltimore District, and worked as Senior Consultant for the AAC and EAS Consulting Groups through 2015.

William was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 47 years, the Knights of Columbus Council 5208, and the American Chemical Society. He enjoyed jogging, playing guitar and singing oldies with his sing-along group and family, yard work, family vacations, the Orioles and Ravens, and had coached his children’s basketball and soccer teams.

He was also a Eucharistic Minister at his church, past president of the Parish Council, member of the Men’s Fellowship Group, children’s catechist and teacher of Marriage Preparation, and worked on various church projects when called upon.

Friends may call at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, June 16, 2018, 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Serenity.

In lieu of flowers, Masses appreciated or memorial donations to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Ste 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910; Center for Pregnancy Concerns, Essex, MD 21221; or the Radio Mass of Baltimore, 740 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
