Life Story for Warren W. DeColigny

Warren W.  DeColigny
On Monday, July 16, 2018 Warren William DeColigny, 82, formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully in his sleep at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Warren was born September 8, 1935 in Baltimore, MD.

He is survived by his loving wife, Betty of 58 years. He was the proud father of three children; Sharon Thomas and her husband Todd, Charlotte Armentrout and husband Joe and his son John DeColigny. He was the grandfather of four precious girls; Megan Eisenberg and husband Natanel, Erin Thomas, Kelli Keller and husband Zach and Cynthia Ray and husband Chris, along with one great-grandson Caden Ray.

Warren was a member of Greenmount UMC and a 50 year member of the Sharon Lodge #182 AF & AM. He was worshipful master of his Lodge six different times. He was a 50 year member of Boumi Shrine Center and quite active throughout the years. He was an appointed Ambassador in 1980; President of Knights of Mecca; President of Dundalk Shrine Club in 1998. He was Wagon Master 1976 and 1989 in the Boumi Camper Club in which he was one of the first members when the club was organized and also one of the few remaining charter members.

One of many joys serving in Boumi was being as Shepherd, who transported many youngsters to the Shriner Hospital in Philadelphia for care in the orthopedic part of the hospital. It was a delight to see how the Shriners really helped the young people. He helped in many aspects for the Shrine including the Shrine Circuses and the Mounted Patrol Unit, and where needed. He also served as outer guard on a team for the Potentate Robert Wilson in 1987. He was also a 32nd Degree member of the KCCH and a member of the Carroll Scottish Rite Club. And a 32nd Degree member of the Knight Commander Court of Honor Scottish Rite.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and worked over 40 years as a union pressman and also worked for the Baltimore Sun as a journeyman pressman for 10 years. He worked part time for Loring Byers Funeral Home in Randallstown and for the Eline Funeral Home for many years. He also drove the limousine for R-Bow Limousine.

Warren and Betty loved to travel, having driven through all 48 continental United States and traveled to Hawaii and Alaska along with cruises through the Caribbean Islands.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road (at Franklin Blvd.) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Thursday, 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment in Lorraine Park Cemetery.
