Jessie Lea Abbott, 82, of Glyndon passed away on August 2, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born on May 21, 1936 in Volney, VA to the late Paul and Bertha (nee Plummer) Rutherford. She was married to Arthur Winn Abbott.

Mrs. Abbott was a cafeteria cook at Franklin Middle School for 37 years. She was a member of the Glyndon Ladies Aux Fire Department and Vice Chaplain of the Baltimore County Ladies Aux. She volunteered at the Reisterstown Crisis Center and was a member of Glyndon United Methodist Church and the Glyndon Bible Class.

She is survived by her beloved husband Arthur Winn Abbott of 62 years; daughter Victoria L. Haga of Finksburg; daughter Deborah L. Clark of Finksburg; son Douglas W. Abbott of Mocksville, NC; brother Paul Rutherford, Jr. of Hedgesville, WV; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Harris and Marilyn Clark.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Monday 3-5 & 7-9pm. Service will be held on Tuesday 10am at the funeral home. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
