J. Martin "Marty" Christ, 74, of Finksburg, MD passed away peacefully at his home on June 7, 2017. Born June 27, 1942 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Martin and Alberta (Franz) Christ and the devoted husband of Barbara T. Christ.

Marty was the founder and owner of Industrial Services Division. After selling the business to Johnson Construction Co, Marty went to work there up until January 2017. He was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club and a former volunteer at Sacred Heart Parish. He enjoyed spending time with family, practicing his faith, boating on the Chesapeake and completed the "Great Loop". Marty will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife, Barbara are his daughter, Susan; two sons: Martin and wife Aubrey, Brian and wife Laci; former spouse, Anna Christ; four sisters: Arlene Bailor, Dolores Bendis, Nancy Creed, Linda Adamczyk; brother, Timothy Christ; 6 grandchildren and many dear cousins and in-laws.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD. A Mass will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017, 11:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD, with Msgr. Lloyd E. Aiken officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
