Douglas W. Brown, Sr., 58, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on April 15, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born September 21, 1959 in Towson, MD, he was the son of the late Charley and Mary Virginia (Rawlings) Brown and the devoted husband of the late Anna May Brown.

Douglas worked as an auto mechanic at Heritage Honda in Towson for 40 years. He was a member of Mt Zion UMC, Sons of the American Legion, Post 200, and the NRA.
He enjoyed hunting, his dog Luke, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, and grandson, Jacob R. Scholtes.

Surviving are two daughters: Melissa J. Scholtes of Hampstead, MD, Diane M. Wiles and husband Jonathan of Hampstead, MD; son, Douglas W. Brown, Jr. of Hampstead, MD; two granddaughters, Olivia N. Scholtes, Grace M. Wiles; grandson, Mason D. Wiles; mother-in-law, Hazel V. Smith of Hampstead, MD; brother and sister-in-law Gordon & Carol Brown of Upperco, MD, two sisters: Beverly Meredith of Parkville, MD, Janet Belt of Hampstead, MD; brother-in-law, Wayne Smith and wife Sue of Parkton, MD; 8 nieces & nephews, and 17 great-nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main St, Hampstead, MD. A service will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home with Rev. Jennifer Kokoski officiating. Interment will be in Salem U. M. Church Cemetery.
