Condolence: Cancer is evil and it doesn’t fight fair. It’s like going into a boxing ring with Mike Tyson. It comes charging like a wild animal attacking and breaking all the rules. It’s a horrific disease that not only eats away at once organs but their sanity, their peace of mind and their souls. Not my Kimmy. It may have been killing her insides but she never gave up. It didn’t destroy her sense of humor, her positivity, or her will to survive. Every time it came back and reared its ugly head, she would always say that she was going to fight it once again and win. Just like bouts in a championship fight she won every time for 7 years and remained undefeated. My hero, my warrior, my heavyweight champ. I’ve literally never met anyone so incredible, so brave, so resilient were so freaking positive. I often ask myself, how can one person take so much and still go to work every day with a smile on her face and take care of everyone else. I would call Kim even on her day off and she would tell me that she had just finished fixing a door at her house or even painting her deck. Unbelievable. I would tell her to sit her butt down and rest and she would laugh and just say “Nah, I’m good”. Kim would always say that things were good even when they weren’t. She would go into work every day like the beast that she was, only leaving to have blood work or chemo or if she got so tired that she couldn’t take it anymore for the day. When she lost her hair again she would say “it doesn’t matter, I look good bald”. I know that Kimmy was scared at the end...even though she would never admit it to most. A heavyweight champion never shows fear, for that’s when they lose the fight. That’s when they become vulnerable, that’s when they go down for the count. Kimmy fought until the very end. She even fought the meds the last few days. I was lucky enough to see her the day before she passed away and she found enough strength to even give me a hug goodbye. I am so grateful that she waited for me. I just can’t imagine life without her… She is my hero, my Kimmy, my warrior, and my heavyweight champ. I love you forever and ever Kimberly Ramey. I’ll be looking for signs from you. I know you’re still around and you will never ever be forgotten by any of us. You are such a special soul and that type of soul never goes away. Until we meet again....I love you 😘 💔😢 To Kim’s entire family… I am beyond sorry for such a tremendous loss. Our lives will forever be changed

Condolence: Sending warm hugs, love and prayers to Kim's family. She brightened up every room with her beautiful smile and was the jack of all trades. She never complained and was a true fighter. I remember going with her to many of her blood work appointments. She didn't like needles but always found a way to make the phlebotomist and nurses smile, laugh and brighten their day. She would leave smiling and was ready for round two of the work day. Her drive to push through was amazingly awesome. I have so many beautiful memories of such a beautiful person. When she went to work, she worked hard and gave it her all at everthing in life. She's a true inspiration. I will miss you kimmy. Fly high I will see you soon. Love Maine

Condolence: Kim would always light up the Infusion Center@ GBMC when she was there for her treatment. Never once would she complain or ask why me during her time with us for her treatments. We would sit and chat and catch up with each other and it felt more of a social visit than a chemo treatment. We would laugh and we would cry, through the good times and bad. You made lemonade out of lemons. And although you are gone from our sight, you will always hold a place in our hearts. RIP my dear friend. Love, Lisa, RN
