Condolence: With tears rolling down my face ive tried to write this three times. You were the grandfather I never had. You were my go to when even i couldn't figure out car problems. You're such an amazing person, im not sure what ill do without you. This recent crazy car purchase i made was supposed to be our last project and nothing more did i want then for you to be a part of it. I love you Frank Donato, my grandfather. I know youre in a better place and this world will miss you. For the grandfather ive never had, you stepped up to that plate and i wouldnt trade anything for it. You were a great step father to my mother Dannielle Hite-Mallonee and step father in law to my father Bob Mallonee, but most of all you gave my grandmother Jean Donato amazing love and passion. I absolutely loved spending time with you in your garage, working on your street rods, or whatever project car i had at that time. Car shows and my life will never be the same without you. You will be missed Grandpa. This all still feels so unreal. Heaven gained a wonderful man.

Condolence From: Dolly Hardesty
Condolence: Dear Jean, As a friend of your daughter, Dannielle, I’ve heard so many wonderful thoughts and feelings about Frank. I was amazed at his perseverance throughout his condition. After the long stay in the hospital last spring, with your love and support he was able to continue pursuing (with limits) some interests he still enjoyed. He was blessed to have you as his caregiver. I am praying for your health and well being as you face the many changes going forward without your closest companion and the one you loved. God bless you, Dolly Hardesty.

Condolence: It saddens me to here of another great guy passing. Frank was a friend to everyone. Always smiling and laughing at the car meets at Home Depo, was always there to help if you needed help with your car. He was a book of knowledge on cars. Rick and Franks were close that when Rick was sick , he would always ask how Frank was and hoping that he would recover quickly. Jean and all her family, I'm so sorry that you have lost a great guy in your life but remember that he will always be by your side and watching over you. He is at peace now with no pain and has gone Home with the Lord. Don't say goodbye, just until we meet again.

Condolence From: Bob Tyson
Condolence: I was so sorry to hear of Frank's passing, just having seen him a week ago. I knew he was still having difficulty, but it seemed he was holding his own. Frank was an icon in the hot rod hobby, not just in Carroll County, but all over the country. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I considered him a true friend and mentor, always ready to help or offer advice to myself and others. My sincerest condolences to Jean and all of his family.
