George Randolph Schweitzer, 71
Reisterstown, MD

Mr. George Randolph Schweitzer passed from this earth while surrounded by his family on January 2, 2019.

George was born at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. on February 10, 1947 to George and Mildred Schweitzer. He was raised in Riverdale, Maryland and retired in Reisterstown, Maryland.

George is survived by his loving wife Lois Ann Schweitzer (Houser), his two 2 children, Eleanor Burns and Brian Schweitzer and his wife Jessica, and his grandchildren Leah Schweitzer, Kyle Schweitzer, Shawn Hunt, Shannon Burns, Rachel Schweitzer and Nicolas Schweitzer, great-grandchildren Sieglinde Hunt and Gunner Schweitzer, brother John Perchalla and sister Jaqueline

George is proceeded in death by his parents George Randolph Schweitzer Sr., and Mildred Faith Schweitzer (Gray).

George is a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US Army. Following his service, he briefly worked as a barber, worked for Stewart Petroleum, then worked for the Federal Government and retired as a Federal Police Officer from the Department of Defense. Following his retirement, he worked at Faders, a cigar shop, however, it wasn’t a job for the money, it was a job for the camaraderie that he loved.

George was a cigar aficionado, a fisherman who preferred the beaches in Ocean City, Maryland. George enjoyed politics and engaging in passionate discussions, but his greatest passion was his wife and family.

At Georges request a service will not be held.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions, the family asks that donations be provided to the Dove House in George’s honor.
