Shirley Jean  Hein (Johnston)
Shirley Jean Hein, 82, of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on February 24, 2019. Born November 26, 1936 in Johnstown, PA. She was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Grace (Rhea) Johnston and the devoted wife of George Sherrod.

She attended Glen Burnie High School. Before retiring in 2012, Shirley worked as a Cosmetic Sales Representative at Macy's in Annapolis, MD. She enjoyed riding the Auto Train to Florida and visiting Williamsburg, VA. Her family fondly remembers her as being a very loving and giving person. She enjoyed spending time with her family and doting on her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents and husband, William B. Hein.

She is survived by her husband, George Sherrod; two daughters: Cindy Kemp and husband Ken, Nancy Wells and husband Bud Cavey; step-son, Andrew Sherrod; two brothers: Michael D. Johnston and wife Sharon, Robert A. Johnston and wife Debbie; sister, Carolyn M. Moreland and husband Paul; four grandchildren: Jennifer Miller and husband Michael, Heather Schaefer and husband Jon, Kimberlee Maleson and husband Gavin, step-grandson, Julian Sherrod; five great-grandchildren: Emma Miller, Mackenzee Miller, Camden Miller, Lucas Schaefer and Sydnee Maleson.

A visitation will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
