Condolences

Condolence From: Tom Pennewell
Condolence: I was just updating my address book and came upon “Miss Violet” Suddenly, I remembered that I had not seen her yearly Xmas letters for several years. Over the years, the letters grew shorter but were still much appreciated to remind me how much brighter she would make my day when we worked together at the Parole Commission. I guess I was there for the whole span of her State service. She usually had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Just now, seeing her smiling photo, I felt a great sense of loss and wished I had reached out when her letters came no more! A truly great, caring and beautiful spirit!!!

Condolence From: JO
Condolence: My deepest condolences are extended to the family of Violet Ruby. What a blessing to have Mrs. Ruby with your family for 94 years. She has no doubt left behind many moments that will live in your hearts forever. Remember that "Jehovah God is our refuge and strength" (Psalm 46:1) and he has assured us that there will be a resurrection for those who have fallen asleep in death. May you always cherish the precious memories of your dear loved one, and may you rely on Jehovah, the God of all comfort for strength and support during this difficult time and in the days ahead. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4) How comforting to know that God not only has the power but the desire to reunite us with our loved ones by means of the resurrection hope Jesus spoke of at John 5:28-29. Furthermore, many are fortified by Biblical promises of a paradise earth free of pain and suffering. We can also take comfort in God's personal promise to "wipe out every tear" and that soon, even "death will be no more" (Revelation 21: 4) May you look to the Bible for comfort from our creator, Jehovah God who has the power to restore life to our loved ones on a paradise earth (Matthew 5:5, Matthew 6:10). Further comforting scriptures can be found on the website JW.org.

Condolence: It was sheer pleasure and joy knowing Violet. Violet was in a carpool with fellow workers at Public Safety. Her humor often uplifted everyone after a tiring day. Her caring and compassion for others was a special gift and she will be missed by many. Those of us who meet twice a year for lunch missed her presence and friendly face when she could no longer join us. Rest well, dear friend.
