Ryan Alexander Lewis

As sure as we are born into this world, we bring joy and happiness in our homes to our parents, family and friends. We learn from that very moment how to love and form a relationship that will last a lifetime. Therefore, when we leave this earth, in death, we leave behind memories that our loved ones will cherish a lifetime. That is exactly what Ryan Alexander Lewis did. He was born on September 3, 1994 in MD to Irean Lewis and Dwight Cooper Barnes (deceased). Ryan departed this life on August 1, 2019.

Ryan attended Hammond High School in Columbia, MD and was well-liked by all. He was close to most of his cousins, especially the ones in the area. He was especially close to his first cousins, Kevin and Ashleigh and his good friends Caleb, Jess, Devin, Lachan and Sean.

He liked watching TV, playing PlayStation, listening to music, reading, and hiking, as most kids his age did. Ryan loved to hear stories about how we grew up in GA, and about his grandparents that he never got to meet. He and his mother, Irean loved teasing each other. He an infectious laugh and he loved to play with the neighbors’ children and dogs.

Ryan was very respectful and treated everyone with kindness. He cared about others so much so that he made several trips to Flint, Michigan with his cousins to deliver water to residents in need.

Ryan is survived by his devoted mother, Irean Lewis( father, Dwight Barnes deceased) his sister Kameka Barnes, uncles, Jimmy Lewis, Johnny Lewis (Justina), Tracy Lewis (Donna) of MD, Ernest Lewis of GA, aunts, Willie Gaye Jones (Royal), Ethel Brown, Deborah Hoskins (Walter), and Catherine Cheeves of GA, Patricia White (LA), Linda Norman (Phillip) of FL, Bertha Steib (MD); and cousins Tammy Justice, Kelvin Lewis, Kevin Lewis, Ashleigh Lewis (Simone), Remi-Parker Lewis, Mary Lewis, Vinny Lewis, Anthony Lewis, Nikki Lewis, Jasmine Steib, Jianna Steib, Tiffany Lewis of MD, Brittany Lewis, Aiden Lewis of VA, Walter and Andrew Hoskins, Jillian Morgan, Eramus Lewis, of GA, Amber Lewis and Christopher Norman of FL, Kimberly and Christian White, and Kassidy and Cameron Black of LA, Christopher White Jr. of CA, as well as relatives from his father’s side of the family: Barbara Melton, Celestine Barnes, Calvin Barnes, Norfleet Barnes deceased,, Sandra Arlene Long, Michael Barnes, Lori McGlohone, Lisa Blakeney-Keith, Daryl, Derek, Terrence, Latoya, Christy, Justin, Marvin, Rechatta, Brandon, Jason, Troy, Courtney, Corey, Dante, Keandra, Sherrod, Aaron, Briana, Brittney, Brandis, and a host of good friends and neighbors that adored him.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11am to 12pm. Funeral service will begin at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
