Harvey David Scherr, a longtime Hampstead resident, passed away on September 4, 2019 at the age of 76. He was the beloved husband of Kay Scherr (née Kraft); loving father of Rich (Alisa Bralove) Scherr and Matt (Allison) Scherr; devoted brother of Robert Scherr (Arlene Scherr); dear brother-in-law of John (Karen) Kraft and Suzanne (Ed) Harris; and adored grandfather of Aidan, Aubrey, and Emmy Scherr. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Morton Scherr.

Family will receive friends at the Eline Funeral Home, 11824 Reisterstown Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136 on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 7-9pm. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, 10am at the funeral home. Interment is private.
