The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Shirley Moorefield can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: The Good Lord

Shirley was a lot of fun and enjoyed her life; her family and friends meant a lot to her and it was a blessing for me to have known her. Towards the end of her life she suffered a great deal as many of the elderly do; I guess getting old is not for sissies. In the Bible in 2 Corinthians 5:8 it reads that to be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord and that is where Shirley is presently. Shirley called Him the Good Lord and that is what He is. When I was in church Sunday, during the worship service we were singing a song by David Ruis “We Will Dance” Some of the words in the song are; “We'll go to a much better place and we will dance on the streets that are golden.” As I was singing this song God gave me an image of Shirley, she was around 17 dancing with Lord, it was so beautiful, she was so happy. Her body was healed and her feet were perfect, no more painful bunyuns. The broad smile on her face showed the joy she was having dancing in the presence of our Lord. She was lifting her knees high and spinning in her joy as she danced. Thank you Father for that beautiful image. Jesus died so that each and every one of us would have that hope in Him. Many of you know me in here and know how I used to roll, I am living proof of what God can do with a surrendered life, please don’t leave here today without Him, we never know when our life here will end. In scripture it reads in Romans 10:9-10 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Christ died to give everyone that opportunity, today if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart; accept His gift and receive His invitation. If you would like to do this, please speak to me anytime. Lord let all that we do honor and glorify You for You are the Good Lord!! Amen!!

Condolence: On behalf of the Super Fresh #876 family, I can say this is a tremendous loss. Your smile, your laughter and the things that would come out of your mouth. I don't think anyone who knew you would have wanted you any other way. You worried of my mothers health when you yourself weren't doing well. My heart aches for your children and family members. Rest in peace Shirley, you will be missed.

Love,
Tulip
