Obituary for William Drummond Sr.

William Talmadge Drummond, Sr., 79, of Hampstead, died Sunday March 15, 2015 at his home.

Born May 19, 1935 in Oceana, VA, he was the son of the late Homer Lee and Carrie Rebecca Morris Drummond. He was the husband of Helen C. "Connie" Drummond.

Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a sheet metal worker with Local Union 100 and a boilermaker with Boilermakers Union 193. He was a communicant of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Manchester. He was a member of Lebanon Lodge 108, A.F. & A. M. in Manchester.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, William T. Drummond, Jr. and his wife Deborah Ann of Westminster, Stephen Paul Drummond, Sr. and his wife Sheila K. of Littlestown, Pa.; daughter, Laura Ann Sanders and her husband Ronald of Hampstead; grandchildren, William T. Drummond, III and his wife Torry, Stephen Drummond, Jr., Eric Drummond, Sarah Sanders, Matthew Sanders and Daniel Sanders; great-granddaughter, Kylee Sue Drummond.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, where a funeral service will be held 8:00 pm Wednesday with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 448, 3701 Park Avenue, Manchester, MD 21102.
