Obituary for Irvin Boose

Irvin Eli "Bud" Boose, Jr., 78, of Upperco, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born March 11, 1937 in Carroll County, MD, he was the son of the late Irvin E. Boose, Sr. and Madeline (Rote) Boose. He was the husband of the late JoyceAnn Boose who died in 1999.

He had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Baltimore County Fire Dept. on January 1, 1995 He was a life member of Arcadia Volunteer Fire Dept., where he was the past assistant chief. He enjoyed helping at the demo derbys and bluegrass festivals.

Surviving are his son, Scott Boose and his wife Cherie of Upperco, MD; daughter, Kimberly Boose of Upperco, MD; granddaughters, Shelby Herald, Paige Jenkins; grandson, Brendan Boose; step granddaughter, Samantha Mehring; step grandson, Evan Mehring; sister, Audrey Leone; brothers-in-law, Ronald & Eddie Weimer; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sisters Doris Menefee and Betty Bixler.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street, Hampstead, MD. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arcadia Vol. Fire Dept. Activities Building, 16020 Carnival Ave., Upperco, with Pastor Michael Adams officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Arcadia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Arcadia Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 7, Upperco, MD 21155.
