My sincerest condolences to you Natalya and to Bill's children and grandchildren. What a wonderful, kind and special man Bill was. I was grateful that he called me his friend, and that he included me in his literary journey when writing The Last Days of Last Island. In his inscription in my copy of the book, he said he was overjoyed to write about my people in south Louisiana. Even though Bill was born in Port Arthur, he was every bit a Cajun through and through. What could be wrong with a man that loved boudin as much as Bill! I am so very sorry for you loss, and I will miss my friend dearly.
