John N. Sullivan, 72, of Hampstead, MD, entered into God’s eternal care on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 23, 1942, in Springfield, IL, John was the son of the late Cornelius Frances and Lena (Carlino) Sullivan. John was a 1960 graduate of Auburn High School in Auburn, IL. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1970. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1969 from the University of Illinois. John spent most of his career working for First National Bank of Maryland (now M & T Bank) where he ascended into a leadership role.
John is survived by his daughter, Caroline Purcell and her husband John of Hampstead, MD, his son, John C. Sullivan of Baltimore, MD, and his grandchildren Madeleine and Jack Purcell of Hampstead, MD and Laney Sullivan of Baltimore, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald Sullivan.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 24, 2015, at St. Bartholomew’s Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD. Visitation with the family will be held from 3-5pm on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead, MD.
