Miriam Mae Thompson, 97, of Hampstead, MD passed away on January 23, 2016 at the Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Born September 27, 1918 in Manchester, MD, she was the daughter of the late Clayton and Bertha (Miller) Black and wife of the late Edgar Thompson.

Miriam had a deep appreciation of nature. She loved planting beautiful flowers in her yard each spring and watching the songbirds outside her window.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her son, Robert Thompson; sisters: Ruby Davis, Hilda Hesson, Marie Geimane; brothers: Cletus Black, Ritchie Black, and Maurice Black.

Surviving are her son, Larry Thompson of Timonium, MD; daughter-in-law, Marlene Thompson of Hampstead, MD; two sisters, Marie Geimane of Pleasant Hill, PA, Margaret McCllough (check spelling) of Manchester, MD; .

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2016, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead, MD. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Eline Funeral Home in Hampstead, MD, with Pastor Matthew Schenning officiating. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
