Mary Margaret Scarpati, 47, of Hampstead, MD passed away on January 28, 2016 at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Born February 11, 1968 in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Nolte Harris. She was the wife of Robert Scarpati of Hampstead, MD.

She was a 1986 graduate of North Carroll High School. She was a lifelong member of St Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church. Earlier, Mary owned and operated The Cutting Corner Salon in Hampstead for several years where she took pride in her work. She loved all her cats, listening to Bon Jovi, and spending time at the beach with her beloved husband. It was their dream to one day retire to a tropical paradise under the palm trees. Mary was strong-willed and never let her disabilities stand in her way.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Bryan Knouse, two daughters, Nicole Scarpati and Sara Scarpati all of Hampstead, MD. Sisters Debbie Schubert, Patricia Harris, Donna Miller and; brothers, Carroll Harris and Bill Harris all of Hampstead, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. & 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S Main Street Hampstead, MD 21074. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1375 N Main Street Hampstead, MD 21074 with Rev. Jason Burns officiating.
