On February 9, 2016 Charles John Keiner, Jr., known as “Charlie”, died peacefully at the Dove House Hospice Center in Westminster, MD. Born April 8, 1940 in Baltimore, Charles was the son of the late Doris (nee Bender) and Charles Keiner, Sr.
Charles is predeceased by his son, Charles John Keiner,III (fondly known as “Shorty”) and sister, Lynn Keiner.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Frances Carolyn Keiner (nee Debus); four children: Debbie Rock and husband Marc, Michael Keiner and wife Kelly, Nancy Young and husband Bill, Timothy Keiner and wife Cristy; eleven grandchildren: Brittany Heitmann, Katie Young, Chelsea Keiner, Ryan Rock, Meghan Rock, Morgan Keiner, Avery Keiner, Dustin Bair, Zachary Bair, Amanda Bair, Casey Bair; four great-grandchildren: Gavin Heitmann, Huntley Strevig, Colt Bair, Gavin Brooks; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Although Charles worked various jobs throughout his life, he took great pride in having served in the Baltimore City Police Force (Eastern District) and in his employment with the Maryland Association of Bay Pilots. Charles was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Fraternal Order of Police.
The family will be receiving friends at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main Street in Hampstead, MD on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2pm – 4pm, followed by a celebration of life service at 4pm.
