Obituary for Frances H. Prochazka (Hazell)

On June 27, 2016, Frances Hazell Prochazka died peacefully at the age of 89, surrounded by devoted family and friends. She was the wife of Alexander, her beloved husband of 47 years. She is survived by her daughters, sons-in-law, grandsons, nieces and nephews, and great-nephews and great-nieces.

Mrs. Prochazka earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Psychology (1956) from Cornell University, and taught piano at Peabody Preparatory for 26 years. She loved good conversation, Georgette Heyer, horses, birds, traveling, singing, classical music, opera, fine art, reading, and all things beautiful.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2016, at St. John's Church, Western Run Parish, followed by a light lunch in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Music in the Valley, c/o St. John's Church, Western Run Parish, 3738 Butler Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
