Obituary for Joan Ford Myers

Joan Ford  Myers
Joan Ford Myers, 80, of Westminster, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 19, 2016. Born August 2, 1936 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Hazel (nee, Morgan) Ford and the wife of the late Charles Eugene Myers for 58 years.

Joan graduated from Eastern High School in 1954. After raising her family, she went to work as an Administrative Assistant at the Law Firm of McFarland & Weinkam. Joan was a patron of the arts and loved music and the theater. Joan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed swimming, cooking, Bingo and was an avid sewing enthusiast. Joan also served as her daughters Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joan is survived by her son, Ed Myers and companion Dorothy Hastings of Severn, MD; three daughters: Suzanne Kane and husband Michael of Finksburg, MD, Patty Wall and companion Eric White of Finksburg, MD, Beth Mensch and husband Leon of Kasilof, AK; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Ford and wife Regina and one niece and nephew.

Visitations will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm & on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD. A Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
